The book of Wisdom of Jesus Sirach is a deuterocanonical book of the Old Testament. It was initially written in Hebrew, but the original text was lost for a long time and discovered again only in 1896. The book of Ben Sira has been used by many Christian authors since ancient times and till today, mainly for moral instructions. The book does not have any discrete structure, it can be only divided in two parts: didactic (1.1-42.14) and glorifing (42.15-51.38).
